Matt looks at the strategy behind this shift, “Direct-to-consumer brands recognized that opening stores provided additional connectivity with a customer so that it wasn’t simply transactional.” He goes on to explain how the added relationship benefits make investing in real estate worthwhile, even in a pandemic.
