Matt Katz and Nick Kramer Quoted in Retail Touchpoints “Mastering Business Intelligence: Turning Raw Data Into Measurable Results Across The Enterprise”

Matt Katz, Managing Partner and Head of Retail & Consumer Packaged Goods, and Nick Kramer, Vice President of Digital & Analytics, were quoted in Retail Touchpoints on how to create and maintain successful business intelligence solutions. Matt set up series of questions to serve as a guide for any retailer’s BI strategy. He states, “The answers to those questions provide a North Star for an analytics strategy, and most importantly allow retailers to intelligently assess and prioritize the data and capabilities required to deliver results.”

Nick talks about the importance of properly managing and leveraging the right data when creating BI programs. He states, “Retailers protest equally about having too little data as about too much data, but the hard truth is that most retailers don’t have facts about what data they have and don’t have.” He concludes that successful programs benefit both the retailer and consumer, “There is a virtuous cycle generated by the customer, integrated and analyzed by the retailer, operationalized and activated through product development with engagement back to the customer, kicking the whole process off again.”
