John Blankenbaker was featured in this TechTarget article outlining the capabilities for different neural networks and their potential applications in business.

John explains the differences in the two stating, “GANs are essentially pairs of CNNs hooked together in an ‘adversarial’ way, so the difference is one of approach to output or insight creation, albeit there exists an inherent underlying similarity. How they answer a given question, however, is slightly different.”

He cautions businesses looking to implement neural networks, “We see many companies getting excited about buzzwords … and overspending on overkill solutions. One of the biggest challenges is always the data quality itself for training the models, especially when we’re talking about business-specific solutions instead something generic.”
